Manuel Uribe, a Mexican man who at 1,200 pounds is the heaviest person known on earth right now.

John Brower Minnoch of Washington, USA weighed more than 1,387 pounds (630 kilograms) when he was rushed to the hospital in 1978 with heart and respiratory failure. In 1983 when he died, he weighed 798 pounds (362 kilograms).

The heaviest woman on record is Rosie Carnemolla of Pough-keepsie, New York, at 850 pounds (386 kilograms). It's possible, however, that another woman, Percy Pearl Washington, weighed more.
