The oldest person alive today is Edna Parker of the USA, born April 20, 1893.

Jeanne Louise Calment was a French woman who lived from February 21, 1875 to August 4, 1997. She has the longest confirmed lifespan, at 122 years and 164 days. (44,724 days)

The longest lifespan enjoyed by a man was Shigechiyo Izumi of Japan, who lived from June 29, 1865 to February 21, 1986.

The average lifespan is 24,000 days.
