Is it true that drunk drivers are less likely to suffer major injuries from violent car accidents?

Does bracing for impact does more harm than good?

As the muscle relaxes, the joints and bones are more flexible, so the body weight settles into the most natural position based on the stress placed upon it. So being limp means everything is less likely to break. This is similar to how stunt people learn to fall down the stairs.

I think the principle applies to life, for whenever I fearfully anticipate a bad event, I always fare worse than if I just relax and confidently wait for the storm to pass.

This is a bit of information that is very hard to find, maybe don't want to encourage or condone being drunk while driving.   Studies on the web have contradictory conclusions, I'm sure some in an attempt to discourage drunk driving.

Regardless, even if the drunk person doesn't get injured, the victim of the drunk driver is more likely to get seriously hurt.
